Cage Recommendations

We recommend the following guidelines for a healthy Red Siskin breeding environment:

• Cage size at least 27" W X 15" H X 11" D

• Two outside doors for finch nests, one at each end of cage, spring-loaded for safety

• Canary-type nest with burlap for nesting material

• Outside seed cups, helping to keep seed clean of bird droppings
  Outside water cups, keeping water cleaner and minimizes bacteria

• Pull-out tray for easy cleaning
