Our Conference Legacy

A Legacy of Education and Community

The American Federation of Aviculture’s educational conferences bring together aviculturists, conservation partners, educators, breeders, exhibitors, and bird enthusiasts from across the country.

Through presentations, workshops, meetings, tours, and community events, AFA conferences create opportunities to learn, share knowledge, build connections, and support the future of responsible aviculture.

What to Expect at an AFA Conference

AFA conferences typically include educational presentations, conservation updates, legislative awareness discussions, vendor opportunities, affiliate and committee meetings, social events, auctions, youth activities, and special programs designed for both longtime aviculturists and those newer to the bird community.

Why AFA Conferences Matter

For more than 50 years, AFA conferences have helped connect people who care deeply about birds, aviculture, conservation, education, and responsible bird keeping.

Each conference reflects AFA’s commitment to bringing people together, sharing practical knowledge, supporting conservation partnerships, and strengthening the avicultural community for future generations.
